ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಯಾಕೋ
ನೀ ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಅನಿಸತೊಡಗಿ
ಮತ್ತಿನ್ನೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಂಟು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ
ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೋ
ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯೊಂದು
ತಡಕುತಿದೆ
ಏನಾಯಿತು?
ಯಾಕೀ ಕೋಪ?
ನನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪೇನು?
ಎದುರಾದಾಗ ಹೇಗೆ ದಿಟ್ಟಿಸಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣ ?

ಆದರೂ ಹೊಸ ಭರವಸೆ,
ಹೊಸ ಪಯಣ,
ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಕಾಯುತಿರುವೆ
ಹೃದಯತುಂಬಿ ನಾ..
ಯಾರದೋ ಆಗಮನ
ಅರಿಯದ ತಳಮಳ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿ ಸುಗಂಧವೊಂದು ಗಾಳಿಯಲಿ ತೇಲಿದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ನೆನಪುಗಳು.

ಇಂದೇನಿದು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ,
ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ನಾನರಿಯದ ಈ ಚಡಪಡಿಕೆ.
ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಇರದಿದ್ದ ಮನೋಕಾಮನೆ.
ಕಾತುರದ ಕಂಗಳು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿವೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ.
ಎನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಪಟವಾದ
ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಈ ಭಾವನೆ.

ನನಗಾಗಿಯೇ,ನನ್ನ ಸಹಚರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ
ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಿಂದಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಂತಹ ಜಾಣ್ಮೆಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿ.
ಈ ರಾಗ ರಂಗಿನಲಿ,
ನನ್ನೆಡೆಗೆ ಬೀರುವ ಕಡೆಗಣ್ಣ ನೋಟ
ಮಂಜುಗಟ್ಟಿದ ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ
ನುಡಿಯದ ಭಾವಗಳು ನೂರು
ನನ್ನೆದೆಯ ಮಿಡಿತ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿತೇ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಪದವೊಂದ..
ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿರುವೆ
ಇನ್ನೂ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವೆ..
