ಆ ನಿಡುಸುಯ್ಲು
ಹರಿತ ಚೂರಿಯಾಗಿ
ಮರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಇರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
ಪಾದದ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಮಣ್ಣ
ಜಾರದಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
ನೆಟ್ಟ ನೋಟದಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ

ನೀವು ನೆನಪಾಗುವಿರಿ.

ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ದೊಡ್ಡವಳಾದಳೇ!
ಒಳಕೋಣೆಗೆ ಸರಿಸಿಡು ಒಳಗೇ ಇರಲಿ
ನೋವು ಎದೆಯಾಳಕೆ ಬಸಿದು
ಒಡಲನುರಿಸಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ
ಲಾವಾರಸ ಬಸಿದಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು
ಹರಿದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ

ನೀವು ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತೀರಿ

ನೀನೀಗ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ನೆನಪಿರಲಿ!

ಅವಮಾನದ ಗಾಯ
ತಿರಸ್ಕೃತರಾಗುವ ನೋವು
ನೀವು ಉಂಡು,ಸೆಟೆದು ನಿಂತವರಲ್ಲವೇ?
ಶತಮಾನದ ಸಂಕೋಲೆ
ತುಕ್ಕು ಹಿಡಿದು ವಿಷವಾಗಿದೆ
ಅಪಮಾನದ ಬೂದಿಯಿಂದ
ಹೊಸ ಹುಟ್ಟನ್ನು
ಕಟ್ಟಿ ನಡೆದಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಇದೋ,ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಎತ್ತಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
