ಸುನೀತ

ಸಹಮನಸ್ಕರ ಮದುವೆಗೆ ತಡೆಯ ತರಲಾರೆ
ನಾನು. ಪ್ರೀತಿಯದು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲ ಕಂಡಂತೆ
ಬದಲಾದ ಪರಿಸರವ ತಾನೂ ಬದಲುತ್ತಲಿರೆ,
ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರೇಮಿ ನಿಲುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾದಂತೆ:
ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ! ಅದೊಂದು ಸದಾಸ್ಥಿರ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ
ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯೆದುರಿಗೂ ಕಂಪಿಸದೆ ನಿಲುವದು.
ಅಲೆವ ಹಡಗುಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ಅದುವೆ ಸ್ಥಾಯಿ ಚುಕ್ಕೆ
ದೂರ ತಿಳಿದರೂ ಅದರ ಬೆಲೆ ಅರಿವ ಮೀರಿದ್ದು
ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲ ಕಾಲನ ಗುಲಾಮ, ಸುಂದರಾಂಗಗಳು
ಇವೆ ಅವನ ಡೊಂಕು ಕುಡುಗೋಲಿನ ಅಂಕೆಯಲಿ
ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಬದಲಿಸದು ಅವನ ಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ತಾಸು ವಾರಗಳು
ನಾಶದಂಚಿನವರೆಗೂ ತಾಳುವುದು ಕೆಚ್ಚಿನಲಿ.
ರುಜುಮಾಡಿ ತೋರಿದರೆ ನನ್ನೀ ಮಾತು ತರವಲ್ಲ
ನಾನು ಕವಿಯೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರೇಮಿಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.
